An "explosive" article on Islam by authors with close ties to the top levels of the Catholic church has been published by Studium, an authoritative Italian journal of Catholic culture. Among other things, the article denies the existence of any such thing as an institutionalized moderate Islam, as opposed to individual moderate Muslims, and calls for the West to defend itself much more vigorously against what it sees as systematic subversion by Islamic radicals.
